Company History
On March 18, 1988, Friendly City Auto Care was born. However, at that time it was called Friendly City 76 because it was a Unocal 76 service station that sold gas (full service) and repaired cars. As business grew, we purchased a tow truck to bring our broken down customer's vehicles in for repairs.
Soon after, we purchased another truck (a rollback) and we began towing for the local police agencies and for AAA.
By December of 1990, we had three trucks and we were able to be of assistance to the Tennessee Highway Patrol when the 99 car pile-up occurred on I-75.
Because of changes in environmental laws, we stopped selling gas in 1998.
In 2000, we invested in our future by remodeling our building and adding two larger work bays to the two small ones we already had. We also signed up with Napa to become an Auto Care Center in order to provide our customers with a nation wide warranty.
Over the years we have employed several different mechanics and truck drivers, some family, some not (and we thank them for their service). However now all of our crew is family.
Throughout the years we have strive to serve our customers with the friendliest service and the most up-to-date equipment.
